SonicCouture公司發佈的XtendedPiano音色庫，是一套非傳統演奏方式的鋼琴音色庫。
Kontakt4格式。Xtended是Extended的改寫，Extended通常用來表達使用非傳統演奏方
式來演奏常規樂器，從而得到不一樣的音色感覺。這套音色庫中包含了五種不同於平常
的鋼琴演奏方式，分別是MUTEPIANO、BOWEDPIANO、PLUCKEDPIANO、MALLETPIANO
以及SFXPIANO(SCRAPES&STRUMS)。

Sincetheearly20thcentury,thepianohasbeenattheforefrontof
thistrend,withcomposerssuchasJohnCagepreparingthepiano
withnutsandbolts,HenryCowellcomposingpiecesinwhichthe
performerreachesinsidethepianoandplucksorstrumsthestrings,
andStephenScottbowingthestringswithanensembleofperformers
toproduceanorchestralsound.

Thelatterinspiredustocreatetheground-breakingBowedPiano
instrumentin2008,andnowwehaverevisitedthesamepianoto
buildonthatconceptandfurtherexploreextendedpianotechniques
foranexcitingnewsuiteofinstruments.
